Hubert C. Webb

      Hubert C. Webb, of Kingston, Tennessee, departed this life on December 2, 2010. Born in Detroit, Michigan, on September 27, 1925, to Hubert Webb and Mabel Postiff Webb. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Ella.

      He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lucille Platz Webb, daughter Judith Balanetsky and husband, John of Knoxville, son John and wife Diane of Powder Springs, Georgia, son David and wife Bonita of Knoxville, son Douglas and wife LeaRae of Slidell, LA., 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brothers Henry of Johnson City, TN and Norman of Montville, New Jersey and numerous nieces and nephews.

      He was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church. A graduate of the University of Michigan, he was employed by Union Carbide in Detroit, Michigan; Cleveland, Ohio; Kokomo, Indiana and Oak Ridge, Tennessee retiring after 31 years in 1984.

     The family received friends on Sunday, December 5, 2010, between 2 and 4 pm at the home at 313 Brahman Road, Kingston, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bethel Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice.
