Jean E. Young, 84, of Kingston, passed away Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at her home.
A member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and Kingston Chapter 405 Order of the Eastern Star, she worked for several years at J.C. Penney's in Oak Ridge. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Young; a brother, Vernon Smith Jr.; and a sister, Betty Lou Searls.
Survivors include a daughter, Amy Lou Ravotti, Danielsville, Ga.; two sons, Scott A. Young, Kingston, and David L. Young, Gallatin; two sisters, Muriel McKonley, Ashtabula, Ohio, and Peggy Ball, Port Orange, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family received friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, in Kyker Funeral Home, Kingston, with Funeral service following in the chapel. Burial was at Kingston Memorial Gardens.
