Questions You've Asked
We periodically receive questions about giving financially to Bethel, so we've tried to generalize the most common ones and to present their answers on this page.
1
Q: What methods can I use to make an online contribution to Bethel?
A: You can use either your personal bank account or credit card. We use both PayPal and the Presbyterian Mission Exchange to process online giving transactions for us. If you are going to use your credit card, we recommend that you choose the PayPal option (it's the default); if you are going to make a financial gift through your bank account, then you should use the Presbyterian Mission Exchange (you can click
HERE to do that).
2
Q: What funds can I contribute to?
A: We currently accept online contributions to our General Fund, Debt Reduction Fund, and our Special Offerings. Gifts to the General Fund are used to pay for the all of the ongoing expenditures of Bethel that are not otherwise handled through their own special fund designation (e.g., salaries, maintenance, and electricity are all paid for from this fund). Gifts to the Debt Reduction Fund are used to make Bethel's mortgage payments. Gifts to our Special Offerings further various Presbyterian USA programs.
3
Q: Can I contribute money to any of the other missions that Bethel supports?
A: We currently accept online contributions to our General Fund, Debt Reduction Fund, and our Special Offerings. If you would like to contribute to one of our supported missions, you can do so by sending us a check, made payable to Bethel Presbyterian Church and mailed to the address on our
contact page, with the name of the mission to which you are giving clearly designated on the check.
4
Q: Is online giving secure?
A: All of your giving data is secured by SSL encryption. SSL is an acronym for "Secure Socket Layer", a security protocol that provides communications privacy over the internet. It is the same technology used by banks and e-commerce companies to keep your information safe and secure during transactions.

Q: I have a question that isn't answered here – who can I contact?
A: For any questions regarding giving to Bethel, either financially or by using your time or talents, you can contact
Susan Cutts, our Administrative Assistant . You can also reach her by phone at 865-376-6340 (the church office).

Will You Answer?
There are different kinds of gifts,
but the same Spirit.
There are different kinds of service,
but the same Lord.
There are different kinds of working,
but the same God works in all of them in all people.
–Romans 12:4-6
