TO OUR GUESTS, we extend a warm welcome. We invite you to participate in signing our Friendship Folder, adding your address and phone number if you'd like to receive our church newsletter or a pastoral call. When we pray the Lord's Prayer at Bethel, we say "sins...sin against us" rather than "debts..." or "trespasses..."; during "a time for sharing" we welcome prayer requests from the congregation. On first Sundays each month, all who put their trust in Christ and who have received baptism in any Christian church are invited to share his sacred meal. We are glad you are with us. Please come again.

*PROCESSIONAL   Ride On! Ride On in Majesty!   HYMN #91

GREETING

Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord.

Hosanna in the highest!

PRAYER OF THE DAY

*CALL TO CONFESSION

*UNISON CONFESSION OF SIN

Triumphant God, We join the crowds of the ages in shouting your praises. While our lips give you glory, our lives seldom reflect your will. We sing easily of your greatness, but living faithfully is often beyond us. We hear of your salvation, yet sin is still close and real, daily leading us away from you. Have mercy on us. Ride into our hearts with healing grace. Forgive what we have done and who we have been. Lord, save us. Hosanna! Amen.

Lord, have mercy upon us.
Christ, have mercy upon us.
Lord, have mercy upon us.

*RESPONSE

Thanks be to God,

In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven!

*PASSING OF THE PEACE

Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us forgive one another. The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

And also with you.

Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;

INVITATION TO THE LORD’S TABLE

GREAT THANKSGIVING AND THE LORD’S PRAYER

The Lord be with you.

And also with you.

Lift up your hearts.

We lift them to the Lord.

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

It is right to give our thanks and praise.

Let us pray.

*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH – Apostle’s Creed (Traditional)   Hymnal Page #14

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

11th week ending 24th march 2007

This was a good week. The weather was very windy all through as we approach long rains which start at the end of March to May.

It was a busy week when pupils are still busy preparing for the end of the term examinations. Some few pupils fell ill: Dickson Mach in class three got sick and the father was called by the head teacher to take him to hospital. Erick Koikai, also in class three, misbehaved on his way home and the head teacher asked the guardian to come to school on Monday to discuss the issue.

As we now approach the end of the first term we are happy with the progress the pupils are making and the revision the teachers are taking them through. We continuously pray for the pupils that as they sit for the exams next week that the Lord will grant them good health.

There are legal education requirements for a School to become an examination Center and Samuel started the process in June last year with the local Authority office. They have given him a very difficult time because he could not yield to their demands for bribery. We finally got their signature on Thursday the 22nd. The next step is to forward the same to the District Education Board and finally to the Ministry of Education Head Office in Nairobi. We pray that the process will now continue without further hindrance as we have met all the needed conditions.

Have a blessed week.

Mrs. Jane Njenga
(Head teacher)
