GREETINGS, WORDS OF WELCOME, RITUAL OF FRIENDSHIP AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
“My Word shall accomplish that which I purpose,”
says the Lord,
“and succeed in the things for which I sent it.”
PRELUDE Rebecca Hettrick
CALL TO WORSHIP
Lord, who may dwell in Your tabernacle?
Or who may abide upon Your holy hill?
Those who lead a blameless life and do what is right,
Who speak the truth from their heart;
Who do not slander with their tongue;
And do no evil to their friends;
Nor heap contempt upon their neighbors.
Those who do these things will never be overthrown.
Praise the Lord!
The Lord’s name be praised!
PRAYER OF THE DAY
*HYMN #488 The God of Abraham Praise Leoni
*CALL TO CONFESSION
*UNISON CONFESSION OF SIN
Dear God, we offer ourselves to You, aware that our sins are many. Sometimes we go too fast. Sometimes we sit too still. We worry about the wrong things and neglect what is important. We struggle to find the right balance. Forgive us. Restore us. Help us to find the right measures of worship and service, of self-care and self-giving, of faith and hope and love, as we seek to follow the example of Jesus, Amen
Lord, have mercy upon us.
Christ, have mercy upon us.
Lord, have mercy upon us.
*CONGREGATIONAL RESPONSE
Thanks be to God,
In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven!

*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The Nicene Creed Page 15 Hymnal
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is,
seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary
and became truly human.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
