All: And all that is within us, bless God’s Holy name.

Call to Confession
Too often our hearts are cold and without gratitude, Too often our hands are passive and unwilling to carry out acts of mercy. Too often our lips are pursed tightly, unwilling to speak words of love. Too often we are indeed separated and alienated from our better self, separated and alienated from God. Let us confess our separation and alienation. Let us join together in the Prayer of Confession.
Prayer of Confession
You call us, O God, but we seldom hear. Or if we do hear, we are reluctant to respond. Or, if we do respond, we are afraid to follow Your direction. Our sin pulls us away from You, yet You will not give up on us! Remove the obstacles that keep us from the life you intend for us. Help us to receive Your call with our whole hearts, so we may do Your work and give You glory, through Jesus Christ our Lord…(please take a moment for silent and personal confession)…
Lord have mercy upon us,
Christ have mercy upon us,
Lord have mercy upon us.
Declaration of Forgiveness
Leader: Let us hear the Good News of Jesus. We are the precious and beloved children of God!
People: Let us bring free and joyful hearts before God as we declare God’s forgiveness…
Leader: The mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting. Thanks be to God.
All: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven!

Join us as we come together at Redeemer Lutheran Church (3:00-5:00 P.M.) to thank Dick for his many years of faithfulness to the Roane County Cooperative Ministries. Dick helped establish this ministry in 1991, and it has been a vital part of our community! Plan to come and honor Dick!
After the resignation of our Administrative Assistant, the Property and Personnel Committee began their search for a new Administrative Assistant. We are pleased to announce that Debbie Smith, a Kingston resident, will be joining our staff on Monday. Stop by the office and introduce yourself to her!
Desserts are still needed for the banquet for inmates on August 27th and again on September 17th. Call Karen Schall (423 369-2955) if you would like reach out in Christ’s name in this creative way! Homemade goodies are a great blessing to them!
